“When we started the renovation, I knew that I didn’t want a home that felt brand new or too precious… I just wanted the house to have substance and soul, and to feel like it had always been there.”

A Home Reimagined with Soul and Substance
Originally conceived in a traditional Georgian style, this extraordinary Greenwood Village residence underwent a thoughtful transformation guided by a singular vision: to create a home with warmth, authenticity, and timeless character.
The renovation was led by builder Scott Kirkegaard in collaboration with architect Justin Bell of Ruggles Mabe Studio, interior designer Emily Lindemann, and project manager Dave Denton. Together, the team carefully stripped away unnecessary formality in favor of understated elegance, rich materiality, and architectural integrity.
Rather than simply renovating the home, the team approached the project as a “renovation by subtraction” — simplifying the structure, opening sightlines, and allowing the home’s proportions and craftsmanship to shine.
